Artist Statement

Nature is everything, has everything and deserves to be brought to the forefront. Visual art is perfectly placed as a mechanism to do this. My work reflects the seasonal noticings from living with the landscape and the wildlife within it. Those familiar countryside markers that make us pause and soak up the moment in nature, helping us to be balanced and maintain an affinity with the natural world around us. From the simpliest bird, to a flash of a fox, to the cacoon of being in a woodland. This combined with the transformative and meaningful personal process of creating art and the impact that this in turn can create with the recipient, adds up to a perfect positivity of art and nature combined.
