Artist Statement
Influenced by the ever-changing light, space and soundscapes in my local environment, I create mixed media prints and paintings that are often a visual expression of the music I make. My music and artwork has often been described as ethereal and dream-pop, and I have recently begun to explore an edge of the surreal in my representation of landscape and nature.
After years of enjoying city life, I realised that my most inspired moments were in the green spaces connecting one busy area to another, the natural space in between. I am now living in rural Fife, and have very recently resurfaced an interest into exploring the rich folk history of my surroundings, in relation to my own ancestry and where that sits within the space around me.
Artist Bio
Lindsey makes art and music from her home in Fife. She is a founding member, singer and songwriter of the band, Gulp. Lindsey creates artwork alongside the music, often based around nature and shifts in the seasons. Born and raised in Aberdeenshire, Lindsey completed a NC in Theatre Arts in Dundee, then moved to South Wales, via London, where she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and a PG Dip in Interactive Media before returning to Scotland with her family.
