‘It was a pleasure to be part of Plant Power Day at Dundee Botanic Garden, sharing the practice of mindful photography with curious and creative participants. The Art & Nature Collective were based in the beautiful marquee, showcasing work by talented local artists and makers — a vibrant hub of creativity, colour, and connection.
One young participant, Mirren, was a particularly thoughtful and keen photographer. It was a real pleasure to explore the garden through the lens with her — she brought quiet focus and natural curiosity to the session.
The afternoon brought more opportunities to connect, slow down, and notice the details we so often pass by. Some of the younger attendees shared cracking images that captured the spirit of the place with real freshness and spontaneity.
Grateful to the James Hutton Institute for organising such a welcoming and inspiring day, and to the Collective for bringing together such a warm, creative community. ‘
